Holiday Cottages

Over the years self catering holiday cottages have become increasingly popular not only in Cornwall but throughout the UK. Many buy second homes as investments and let them out during the times that they are not occupying them themselves. With access to easy credit the trend exploded and now there is an abundance of self catering holiday cottages in Cornwall. The Lizard Peninsula is no exception and this Southern most area of Cornwall has plenty on offer.

Due to the number of holiday homes the competition has become quite fierce and as a consequence the the quality of self catering homes is very high with most being finished and furnished to a very high standard with all the latest accessories and gizmos. The competition also means that prices have come down and can now actually offer quite a cheap holiday particularly if one opts for a last minute booking. Beware though, that most owners and agencies jack the prices up significantly over school holidays and short breaks.

The Lizard Peninsula is home to some lovely self catering cottages. There are those in quaint villages such as Gweek or St Keverne, those nearby or on beaches and those that are tucked away secluded in the countryside such as Kilter House. Whatever you're looking for theres a cottage to suit everyone. Should you have a big family or party staying, then no fear, some of the houses are huge and can sleep up to 12 people, possibly more.

To find the many self catering properties be sure to look through sites such as this as well as the handful of agencies that exist and specialise in the Lizard area.
